The Merits of Time ClocksConsider the following: how can you validate an employee's arrival and departure time when they are using a sign in sheet? All you have to go on is the employee's honesty. While some employees are honest, some are not. A time clock can eliminate a number of hassles associated with having to verify the accuracies of a time sheet. Of course, this is only if the clock is working properly. Time Clocks Eliminate Problems You are the owner of a restaurant and you sit down at the desk in your office so as to compile the hours that your employees worked. In order to do this, you need to examine the time cards that the time clocks have stamped. This should not be all that difficult as the time stamps should be easy to read and all you have to do is record the number of hours. Perhaps the use of the word "should" is most appropriate here. While you should' be able to read the time stamps, you can not. This is because the ink on the stamps is either to light in spots or it is smudged. Looks like the time lock that you own needs to be replaced. What a shame you didn't replace it when it started to malfunction which was maybe two weeks after you initially purchased it. Yes, not all time clocks are all that great. Considering how critically important such a clock is to a business, it becomes imperative that the time clock one employs is a properly functioning one made by a top quality company. As such, it becomes important to purchase a well reviewed time clock that has received a high consumer rating. Also, no type of time clock will be worth much of anything if it is not properly maintained so b sure to treat all time clocks with proper care and have repairs made when necessary. A time clock is only valuable when it works so be sure that it always remains in proper operational mode. This will avoid innumerable problems down the line. |
