Feng Shui Tabletop Water Fountains

Tabletop Feng Shui water fountains come in all shapes and sizes, as well as for various uses. For a fountain to be used in Feng Shui, it does not have to look oriental. If fact, no Feng Shui cures or décor adjustment have to look oriental in order to work. Fountains are very popular in Feng Shi because they bring the much needed energy of water, which is an ancient symbol of abundance and prosperity. The other great reason to use a fountain indoors is the fact that working fountains will diffuse very healthy negative ions into the air, as well as add more humidity. Many indoor environments are starving for this.

You should never have a tabletop Feng Shui water fountain in the bedroom, no matter which area your bedroom is located. Water elements bring the energy of worry into the bedroom. This would not be a good location for that energy. On a practical level, you want a good quality tabletop water fountain with a silent motor, as well as a fountain that is easy to keep clean and running. You can place some natural crystals or stones in your fountain, which will strengthen their beneficial energy, or Sheng Chi, as well as purchase a fountain that allows you to diffuse specific essential oils into the air. Using crystals and stones, or essential oils with your fountain will double the energy benefits of this very popular Feng Shui cure.

Feng Shui And The Water Element

The water element can be associated with the colors blue and black and shapes that are curvy, but real water is absolutely the most powerful cure when you need to have the water element represented somewhere on your property or in your home. Some homes need to have tabletop Feng Shui water fountains or aquariums on a semi-permanent basis. However, there are cycles to be calculated and the best places for water on your property will change regularly. Inside your own home, the best locations for water may change on a yearly basis. This doesn't mean that you need to constantly move your Feng Shui water fountain, but occasionally this is the best thing.

As a general rule for Feng Shui water fountains; the water should always be clean. Dirty water is much worse than no water at all. Water that circulates is more powerful than still water. It is, however, possible for water to move too quickly and in the wrong direction. It is generally not good for water to flow away from a property.

A common question is whether or not the Feng Shui water fountain should be made out of stone or copper. Sometimes it does matter. Copper fountains, containing the metal element, make the water stronger. It is, however, sometimes alright to have an earthen fountain. Most tabletop Feng Shui water fountains are, in fact, stone or marble. If there is enough water, the container is not very important.
