The Scooter Factory: Companies That Make Scooters

The history of the scooter goes hand and hand with the development of the automobile. During the same time period that automobiles were being developed, someone came up with the idea to strap an engine onto a bike and thus the scooter was born.

Initially, the scooter wasn't a product that many companies were jumping on board to make. The automobile was a much more profitable item to produce and many families were seeing the benefits of a car verses a horse, where the scooter took a little more time to become a popular choice for consumers.

It actually wasn't until after World War II that the manufacture of scooters really took off. The scooter factory was something that became a common site in Europe after the war and when finding ways to travel needed to be cheap and easy to make. The scooter fit the bill, and as a result has continued to grow in popularity year after year.

Scooter Factory Companies

The Suzuki Company is one that is associated with the manufacture of scooters. The Suzuki Company is well known for its production of world-class motorcycles and that knowledge filters down to the scooter factory that creates Suzuki scooters. As the company learned about the production of motorcycles they also incorporated that knowledge into the production of scooters, and today their scooters are considered top of the line.

Another company that has a scooter factory is Yamaha. This is another Japanese company that saw the practical side of motorcycles and was able to create and manufacture world-class motorcycles and then eventually other products like scooters, snowmobiles and wave crashers. The company was founded in Japan and began its life making musical instruments, which they still manufacture today. Under the guidance of Genichi Kawakami in the 1950's the company began to venture into the world of motorcycles. This was a very good choice and soon the name Yamaha was associated with motorcycles. The company also has a scooter factory where they make well-designed scooters that are a choice for many consumers.

With the evidence supporting the fact that fossil fuel is not only expensive but also becoming harder to find, the scooter factory may become more common as consumers seek ways to travel without the price of gasoline. Companies are more often researching the viable option of electrical scooters, and with their small size these could certainly be a choice that consumers begin to ask for.
