Different Uses for RV'sRefrigerators on RV's require power and even then they sometimes don't keep the food very well. Campground and RV parks charge a small mint to use their sites and then there are the extra charges for connecting to power, water, and use of the septic emptying facilities. So why are people still buying RV's? The answer to that lies not in what it costs to own and operate an RV but rather what RV's offer to those people that are lucky enough to be able to afford one. Symbol of Freedom The rising cost of everything certain is widening the gap between the haves and the have nots when it comes to RV's and who can still afford to own and operate them. But for those people that can afford them then RV's are the ultimate escape and the ultimate symbol of freedom. For short periods of time you can get into a vehicle that is the size of the first floor of your house and drive to anywhere you want in the country without feeling like you have ever really left your home. You can decorate your RV so that it looks like home and even bring pieces of home with you on long trips. You can even bring your pets with you on your RV if you wanted to and there isn't anything anyone can say about it. RV's are expensive for sure but the freedom that they offer to the people that own them is more than worth the expense and that feeling of seeing the country without leaving your living room is pretty nice as well. At the Game Not everyone gets involved in RV's to travel the country. Some buy their RV just to go around the corner and bring their own party house to the tailgate party before the football game. In National Football League cities like Kansas City, Green Bay, and Buffalo fans with RV's arrive days before the game is to start so they can get a good spot for their RV and then spend some time living in the stadium parking lot. They mark their territory with their own special combinations of flags on top of their camper and then invite their friends and family over for a tailgate party in style before the game begins. To be honest, some of these college crowds really know how to tailgate with their RV's as well and it has become quite the American thing to do. Owning a huge RV, or a small RV, is a little piece of freedom for a lot of people. For those that have never had the chance to own then you should try renting an RV just for a little while and see what that feeling of freedom is all about. |
