Different Kinds of RV Covers

When you invest in something as substantial as an RV you want to protect that investment every chance you get. The difficult part with an RV is that you invest in it to use it and when you start using it is when the problems start arising.

But there are ways to protect your investment and still be able to take her out on the open road just like it was meant to be and that way is by using RV covers. There are different types of RV covers for different types of conditions and situations and the best way for you to properly protect your RV is to learn when to use the different kinds of RV covers. It really is not that difficult and is something you can easily learn in only a few minutes.

If you have just purchased your first RV and you are looking for something to protect it from the elements during short term storage then you want to look into a polypropylene RV cover. The polypropylene covers are great if you will put your RV into storage for a short period or if you are just starting out in the world of RVing and you are getting used to the notion of covering your RV. Polypropylene is probably the more universal of the RV covers but remember that is for short term use only and it does not really protect against all elements.

A Bigger Better Bag

If you plan on spending a lot of time in your RV up north or in any of the climates that have a lot of moisture then there are RV covers specially designed to handle that kind of weather and conditions. These are usually triple reinforced polypropylene RV covers but they have been engineered with a special outer layer to protect against rain and the moisture. Many of these more advanced RV covers come with zippers on the side for access to the doors so that you can cover your RV and still use it at the same time.

If you will be getting into the really intense conditions then you may want to step up to Tyvek RV covers. Tyvek covers offer zipper entry as well but the material they are made out of, Dupont's Tyvek material, is resistant to much higher levels of intense sunlight or intense moisture and would be the ultimate RV covers to protect your investment.

RVs are great for getting out on the open road but some people want their RV to last for a long time to come and so those people like to invest in RV covers for the different elements they may be experiencing. If you don't want to cover your RV while you are out on the open road using it then you will at least have to cover it when you store it so either way it would be a good idea for you to invest in one.
