Care Instructions For Laminate FloorsBut one of the greatest inventions when it comes to interior design of a house and flooring are the laminate floors which give the same look of a real hard wood floor but is cheaper and made from a different material. For those who may already have the laminate floors, here are some of the things that you could do to ensure that what you have for your home would last for a very long time, making it look as elegant and as fresh since the first day that we have installed them in our homes. Care For Floor For those of us who are lucky to have the laminate floors, we already know that they were made from artificial materials like melamine resin which would require a low maintenance kind of care especially when you compare them to real hard wood floors or marbles. And unlike the laminate floors, the real hard wood floors and marbles would require for you to have them waxed, oiled, or even stained on a regular basis. But we must also understand that like regular hard wood floors, the laminate floors could also be bruised, scratched, have dust, especially on high traffic areas. You may use adhesive felt pads or any sort of "padding" on the feet of every furniture or appliances to minimize these scratches and other elements that may damage the appearance of your laminate flooring. Aside from that, what you could do is to read the warranty and care instructions for your laminate floors the moment that you got them installed or bought. You may want to call the shop or their customer service hotline for the post-installation care for your new floors but above all, the number one no-no when it comes to laminate floors is to not mop them because puddles could seep behind baseboards and under your floor, damaging them. You may only vacuum and then mop them with a damp clothing on their surface. |
