Kitchen Clocks Can Individualize The Dining AreaWhether kitchen clocks need to be plugged in, is battery operated or operates by pendulum power is a person choice that goes along with the choice of the many designs. There are flowers pots with clock mechanisms built into the base that hold artificial flowers, no watering needed or expected, to brighten the room through various seasons. They can also have the mechanisms built into wall shelves, with a picture of spices, for instance, behind the hands mounted on a spice rack. There are only a few recommended requirements for kitchen clocks and being able to withstand the often humid conditions associated with cooking in the kitchen. Often times, cooking causes oil to float freely through the air and kitchen clocks should be sealed to prevent this oily air from clogging the inner workings of the clock. Choosing Clock To Match Kitchen Décor Not everyone appreciates a plain clock face and although utilitarian by nature they are often bland and detract from an otherwise well-decorated room. Pictures of farm animals on kitchen clocks fit in nicely in country homes and can match the natural setting. Cows and roosters seem to be the most popular for country kitchens, but baby chick, rabbits and other small wildlife can be found and fit in nicely. For the specialized cooks, pictures of numerous spice plants decorating kitchen clocks will fit into their other decorations and some of the more modern clocks will have a wire frame around the face decorated with flowers, fruits or other designs to fit the homeowner's mood and décor. Outdoor scenery or pictures of cars, trucks and dinnerware often grace the front of kitchen clocks. A cup of seemingly steaming coffee gracing the front of kitchen clocks is another standard design, along with older advertising for coffee, tea or dairy products fitting in to the overall design of the kitchen. Other designs can include birdhouses, chickens and any other such design that fits into the décor of the kitchen. |
