Pump It Up: Using A Hot Tub Pump

You've just spent a stressful day at the office and you are ready to relax. Home is the place you want to be, but your hot tub seems far more inviting. All that steamy, warm water is a blissful, orgasmic experience; and you have your hot tub pump to thank for it.

What Makes All That Water Possible?

Your hot tub doesn't just burp out water; there is something in there making all that relaxation possible: your hot tub's pump. A hot tub pump is responsible for getting the water from your home water system into your hot tub. The pump pulls water from your home water system, passes it through the hot tub filter and water heater, and then into the tub itself.

Hot tub pumps were developed especially for the rigorous demands of use in hot tubs. They are built to be durable and reliable. The quality built into each hot tub pump certifies that you will enjoy years of grief free operation.

Most hot tub pumps include a high-tech seal between the motor and impeller to help eliminate all those water wasting leaks. Hot tub pump seals are highly resistant to corrosive fluids (i.e. chlorine) which make them ideal for long life and dependable operation even during Armageddon.

Does Size Matter?

Contrary to popular belief, a bigger pump is not always better. Unless a spa pro has told you otherwise, the smaller pump the better. Some hot tub pumps just weren't made for use in larger hot tubs. Hot tub pumps have a much higher capacity of water flow than standard pumps. This makes them excellent at delivering your spa's water through its filters. What that means is that your hot tub will have clear water always ready to use. Hot tub pumps that run at a higher flow capacity will run cooler and rid you of the danger of your hot tub overheating. Overheating is a big nuisance; especially during those summer months when the heat gets high. Why would you want to be in the hot tub during the summer, you ask? Well, stress doesn't just happen in the winter, and some people have their hot tubs inside, for use in their bathrooms.

Quiet And Relaxing

Some hot tub pumps are rubber mounted which eliminate the hum of vibration and make the pump function quietly, almost like a whisper. No one wants a loud annoying hum interrupting their quiet, calm, and relaxing time. Loud vibrating hums aren't exactly helpful in romantic situations either.

So to sum everything up; pumps are quite essential to enjoying your hot tub.
