Review of The First Alert Alarm System

The First Alert Alarm System is an ultra-loud instant alert alarm system. The system is very easy to install and adds another level of security to your home. If you are looking for an inexpensive way to protect yourself and your children, the First Alert Alarm System may be just the ticket.

What Is Included In The First Alert Alarm System

Each First Alert Alarm System comes with four sets that can be easily attached to any door or window. Simply peel the adhesive off the back and place them where you want. Once in place the First Alert Alarm System will let you know if the door or window is opened.

There are three settings for each of the units. Off, Alarm and Chime. The off setting turns the unit off. The alarm setting emits a loud alarm anytime the window or door is opened. The chime will emit a pleasant chime whenever the doorway is opened. This setting is useful for keeping an eye on when people come in and out, but does not work as an alarm.

The biggest feature of the First Alert Alarm System is how easy it is to install and the cost. You can have it set up in literally minutes on most entry ways. The magnetic technology inside the unit will set off the alert when anything is opened. All together the four units only cost about ten dollars, so investment is practically nothing.

Unfortunately if you are serious about protecting your business this is not the system to do it. It make work ok for home use, and hopefully the alarm will scare any intruder off, but you would do much better to upgrade and purchase a real first alert alarm system that is tied in with local police. That way if someone does try to get in they will be immediately notified.

So in conclusion the First Alert Alarm System is great for home use or a cheap deterrent to crime, but if you are looking to seriously protect yourself you are better off looking somewhere else. Easy to setup and move this unit is perfect for someone who simply wants a low cost, easy to use solution to deter people from breaking in to their property. In addition the investment is so low that you could conceivably use this system in areas where you're more expensive alarm can not cover a garage, a shed, or any other outdoor enclosure.
