No Wetness Here: Dry Carpet CleaningIn addition, it seems like only certain parts of the carpet look worse than others. This is because the negative aspect of having carpet in the home is that those areas that are high traffic areas often take more of a beating than those areas of the carpet that are not often walked on. For example areas such as the entranceway or the carpeted area leading into the bathroom look worse or stained more so than the carpeted area under the furniture or table. You have decided to call a carpet cleaning company to come in and clean your carpets. You have also heard that there are many new methods of cleaning carpets that are available to consumers today. You have heard about the traditional wet shampooing method, but you have also heard about dry carpet cleaning. If you are considered dry carpet cleaning it is important to know what it is this process and what are the methods that can be utilized. Dry Foam The first dry carpeting method of cleaning is called dry foam. The dry foam method is very similar to having a carpet traditionally shampooed. That is because the dry foam method of dry carpet cleaning utilizes a scrubbing process that is done in a circular manner. However, unlike the wet shampooing method, this dry carpet cleaning method utilizes dry foam. The advantage of utilizing this method is that the customer does not have to wait for the carpet to dry. In addition, with this dry carpet cleaning method, there is little residue that remains on the clean carpet. In fact, the appliance that is used contains a vacuum which after the scrubbing motion has been accomplished the residue is sucked up into the vacuum apparatus. Dry Cleaning - Bonnet The next method of dry carpet cleaning is through the use of a cleaning product that is mixed with carbonated water. Once mixed, the mixture is then misted over the stained carpet. Once this mixture has been applied to the carpet then a round buffer is used to scrub the carpet. This process is accomplished in a circular manner and, coupled with the carbonated water, helps to clean the carpet. Dry Powder One other method that can be defined as dry carpet cleaning is through the use of dry powder. This process entails the use of a dry powder mixture that is evenly distributed over the carpet. Again a circular brush is used to scrub the applied powder onto the carpet. Once this process has been accomplished, the powder is vacuumed off. Again this is a dry process and the customer is able to walk on the dry carpet with in the minutes following the cleaning. |
