What Kind of Country Gardens Do You Want?

Country gardens are beautiful with their wildflowers and wonderful landscaping. Many people have country gardens that are there to hide mounts electrical meters, gas meters, as well as line the walks to the front porch. In the country, you have so many different things you can do with your garden. Not only can you have country gardens all over the property, you can have just about any flower or greenery you want.

Flower Country Gardens

You might have a landscaped design for your country garden. Roses, ferns, petunias, daffodils and sunflowers might be some of the flowers you grow in your garden. Country gardens for flowers usually have sun and some areas of shade. You need to decide what flowers can grow where and what flowers need most shade or mostly sun. Landscaping driveway borders and walkways are a popular scene among country gardens.

Vegetable Country Gardens

You see so many gardens around fancy country homes. One type of garden that is customary to country living is the vegetable gardens. People who have gardens in the country or on the outskirts of towns or cities grow corn, beans, peas, tomatoes, cauliflower, rhubarb, carrots and potatoes just to name a few. In country gardens, you might see an apple or pear tree as well. Can you imagine the money you can save if you had this much room to grow all your vegetables and have a flower garden as well.

Supplies Needed for Country Gardens

If you plan to have a vegetable garden and you have a large area, you will want a roto-tiller or a farm machine for turning over the dirt. If the area is big enough for a cornfield, you need special equipment such as a fertilizer spreader, seed spreader and a machine to help pick the crop. Having the proper equipment will make planting and harvesting the crops easier than trying to do it by hand.

The country gardens for flowers only need your basic gardening tools such as a spade, three-prong fork, gloves, and you are ready to plant. You may want to use a roto-tiller to break up the ground and add some fertilizer for healthier growing of plants. If you have all the right tools and equipment, you can have a nice flower and vegetable garden even in the country. Country gardens leave you open to any type of gardening. Colors are endless when you have the room.
