There Are Many Coffee Maker Types; Which is Right for You?Perking up with a Percolator The most popular coffee maker type is the percolator. They're virtually idiot-proof, or at least, that's the idea behind many designs. They're quite popular for those of us who might be a little pressed for time in the morning. If the French Press features a nice-looking setup, the vacuum coffee maker type reveals an apparatus that is positively Da Vincian. With its two glass containers, it involves heating the coffee over an open flame and brewing the coffee through a temperature gradient. It's fascinating to watch.
