A Class C RV is a classy and distinctive way to travel anywhere. With its unique cab-over bunk look, it's easily recognized wherever you go. With its growing popularity, it is now available in a variety of sizes. The Class C RV is a good transition from a normal size vehicle to a RV-style vehicle. If you aren't sure whether you really want an RV rent a Class C and see how you like it. The Class C is more suited for family/weekend vacations rather than a more permanent living arrangement.

What features do Class C RVs have?

Class C RVs are easier to drive than the standard Class A and are very accommodating in comparison to their size. They can reach up to 40 ft. but most range form 12-32 ft. They also can weigh anywhere from 10-18,000 lbs. With this much room, the Class C RV is a great family RV with many unique features. With the ingenious design, the Class C RV has made great use of space.

For instance, the dining-table can become a bed, and the couch also becomes the primary bed for the RV. The over-the-cab area is perfect for small children to sleep or is a great storage area. Although, the front seats are usually lower than the floor level of the living area so they don't swivel and are usually not used while parked. Some models of Class C RVs have slide-outs which add to the space of the RV. The bathrooms are usually smaller than the Class A models, but they accommodate the basic needs of a toilet, sink, and shower.



How hard are they to drive?

Class C RVs are easier to drive than most RV models. The most popular engine for the Class C RV is gas, but many diesel models are also appearing in the market. Class C RVs have front-mounted engines, and the chassis they are built on are usually manufactured by GM, Ford, or Dodge. Parking is easier than in most RVs because of the size of the Class C. They also have the largest towing-capacity of all RVs. The easy way the Class C drives and the smaller size makes it a perfect family-friendly RV.

What about cost?

Class C RVs very from $39,000-$67,000, but the average cost is around $48,000. Although, these prices seem like a lot they are relatively inexpensive compared to larger RVs and different classes. For the great use of space and awesome drive, the Class C RV is a great addition to any family.
