A carpet made from wool or one made from cotton or silk or even sisal will require a unique carpet cleaning solution because each type of material has its own special properties which could become damaged if the wrong kind of carpet cleaning solution is applied on it. A wool carpet for example can be very easily spoiled in case it is exposed to bleaches as well as alkalis and in fact, it is also not advisable to let these types of carpets to be exposed to high degree of heat or even agitation for fear of damaging them.
