Black And Decker Cordless Hedge Trimmer Packs Plenty Of Power

One of the main complaints about using cordless hedge trimmers is the lack of time with which the battery contains enough of a charge to get the job done. For extra large hedges, homeowners will probably need to use a gas powered trimmer, or one that plugs into an outlet. For the average home however, a Black and Decker cordless hedge trimmer should have enough power to get through the average sized hedge.

The Black and Decker cordless hedge trimmer known as the Hedgehog uses a 22-inch long cutting blades using a shearing action to make short work of branches up to three-quarters of an inch thick. It provides quick clean cutting reducing the runtime needed to turn even the most unsightly hedge into a work of art. It is lightweight and can be used on the top surface as well as the vertical surfaces of the front and back of the hedge.

The smooth action of the motor and the dual action blades provides quick cutting action as well as reducing the amount of pressure needed to guide the Black and Decker cordless hedge trimmer over even the largest hedge. The 18-volt battery can operate up to 30-minutes on a single charge, allowing the Black and Decker cordless hedge trimmer to trim up to 1200-square-feet of hedge per charge.

Keeping Trimmer In Top Condition

When the user buys a new Black and Decker cordless hedge trimmer, the Hedgehog comes with the 22-inch trimmer, the 18-volt battery, charger and a blade cover for when it is not is use. Keeping the cover on the blade not only prevents incidental damaged to the blades but also reduces the chances of an accident if someone reaches for the trimmer and grabs the blade by accident.

Maintaining the Black and Decker cordless hedge trimmer is easy to do with minimal maintenance required. Occasionally oiling the blades to prevent them from rusting and sharpening them when cutting becomes strained, the Black and Decker cordless hedge trimmer will last through many seasons. If the user accidentally damages the blades, replacements are available from the manufacturer.

The Black and Decker cordless hedge trimmer is easy to use and maneuver, weighing just over six pounds. The cutting blades deliver 2,800 strokes per minute making it one of the fastest hedge trimmers on the market at the weight and speed without a cord or gas engine for power.
